Kundalini is the yoga of awareness - moving you beyond your physical self to function from the heart while bringing greater balance to your body, mind and spirit. Called the householders' yoga, it is an efficient practice to connect you with your spirit and support your nervous and glandular systems. The result is that you can better cope with life’s daily challenges and stresses. The science incorporates postures with breathing techniques, mantras, mudras and meditation. Many of the techniques can also be used during the day to produce a sense of calm or give you a boost of energy. Similar to acupuncture, Kundalini Yoga moves energy through the body's meridians, or energy pathways, to support vibrant physical health and mental well-being. Ultimately, Kundalini Yoga strengthens your relationship to your authentic Self.
The process of growth through Kundalini Yoga is a natural unfolding of your own nature. The blocks to that growth are your attachments to the familiarity of the past, and your fear of the expanded Self. As you practice Kundalini Yoga you will grow. Like a snake you will need to shed old skins to be more of who you are.
