The inaugural New Mexico Yoga Festival is a joyful day of yoga, meditation, sound, and community at Santa Fe Brewing's The Bridge. Led by inspiring local teachers, this gathering supports Santa Fe Community Yoga's outreach programs and expands access to yoga our local under-served populations. Local vendors, artisans and organizations will be featured throughout the day's events!
I will be teaching the 8:10 AM – 9:40 AM (90 min) Kundalini & Sound Meditation for the Vagus Nerve
When you think of wellness, supporting your vagus nerve is one of the most important part of your physical self. Why?
It provides organ regulation: It controls involuntary bodily functions, including heart rate, blood pressure, digestion, breathing, and immune responses.
Brain-Gut Axis: It transmits signals between your brain and your digestive tract, monitoring hunger, fullness, and even influencing gut-driven immune responses.
Relaxation & Stress: It counteracts the "fight or flight" stress response by lowering heart rate and promoting calmness.
The class will end with a gong sound bath to support energetic realignment and deep relaxation.
Be sure to bring your yoga mat and any props. s
